Cobots
Small arms built to work next to people, often without a big safety cage.
A cobot (collaborative robot) is a light robot arm made to share space with workers. It slows or stops when it touches something, so many jobs can run with less guarding than a regular industrial robot. A safety check of the actual job still decides what guarding you need.
Most cobots are taught by moving the arm by hand or with a tablet, so a shop doesn't need a programmer on staff for simple jobs.
